Joshua Martin

Writer, editor, and content systems builder. Working in digital media since 2010, now operating where editorial craft meets AI.

I spent over a decade covering the NBA and basketball culture: seven years at Bleacher Report, plus Complex and USA Today Sports Media Group, before co-founding CloseUp360 as Editorial Director.

Along the way, I started writing about concerts and festivals for Live For Live Music in 2015, encountered my first piece of AI-generated sports content in 2016 (a moment I’ve finally begun unpacking in One Guy On AI) and picked up live music photography in 2019.

Today, I build AI-augmented content systems and ghostwriting engines for executives and brands, and work as an expert evaluator of large language model outputs. I also publish 2 Much Live Music, a monthly newsletter built around my concert photography, and draw the portraits behind The Charcoal Club. Different mediums, same job: figuring out what’s worth someone’s attention, and delivering it well.
